“Zen International”– BP Is Still A “Buy”…
“Zen International”: Despite the disastrous oil spill in the Mexican Gulf, BP is still a good long-term buy.
Despite the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that is proving disastrous to the environment of several US states, BP remains a “conviction buy” suggest analysts at “Zen International”.
Following the explosion at the BP-operated Deepwater Horizon in which 11 workers lost their lives on 22 April, an oil slick the size of Puerto Rico has threatened fisheries and the local economies of several states. BP is under pressure from the US government to release details of how it intends to stop the spill which is America’s worst spill since the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989.
“Zen International” analysts believe that the long-term effects of the disaster on BP’s profits and earnings will be minimal given the company’s size and the recent plunge in the share price presents investors with an excellent opportunity to buy in to what is still one of the world’s biggest oil producers and refiners.
“Zen International” analysts say they remain convinced that the company is underpriced given the size of its operation and they envisage that, under the stewardship of CEO, Tony Hayward, the company will prove to be an excellent long-term play on the secular bull market in crude oil.
